There’s something magical about firsts —first impressions, first kisses, first finish lines crossed. The enchantment of experiencing something new never gets old in North Carolina. Feel that emotional connection with yourself when you experience firsts that last. The commercial below is the kickoff for the campaign for Firsts That Last. They are compilations of the short films Visit North Carolina produced featuring travelers that have never been to North Carolina and capturing their first experiences here. Along the way we found out a lot about each of the travelers and found…

Babson Capital

Babson Capital

Babson Capital is a global investment management organization that manages over $132 billion. They are a subsidiary of MassMutual. We developed ads that talk to some of their principles and speak to their audience. These series of ads are running as cover-wraps for the Economist and will run all over the markets (which pretty much covers the globe.) The ads reference their Repeatable Process, Depth and Breadth and their Global Footprint. Click to enlarge. Photography by Lisa Adams represented by Ally Godfrey. North Carolina – 2013

North Carolina – 2013

I have waited to post this for a long time. This is a portion of the work LGA has produced for the Division of NC Tourism. We wanted travelers to connect more deeply with NC and show some of those that have not only come here, but have decided to stay. William Huber shot these images and did an amazing job. Jennifer Jones and Margaret Bond are the writers and Joe Tolley and I art directed. Steve Dunkley is the Executive Creative Director. This is just a small part of…

ATD-Brand 2013

ATD-Brand 2013

This is the newest series of ads LGA produced for ATD. The ads use visual metaphors to show speed, selection and special programs for their customers. Erik Almas shot and Hacjob worked on the CGI.   Here are some of the steps in this concept. Usually we start with a lot of thumbs for an idea. Then we narrow down and try to figure out how to approach and how to produce that concept. Below is the initial thumbnail sketch and to the right is a revised illustration that we…

UNC Charlotte’s Athletic Department (Judy Rose and Mike Hummer) came to LGA to help build some awareness for UNC Charlotte’s bid for a football team. Initially they had 5000 names that had been collected to show interest. The next task  was to sale 5000 49ers Seat Licenses (FSLs) in the worst economy. First we had to build awareness of the effort. We started with a rallying cry – It’s A Rush. We developed a video, website and a brochure as part of Phase 1. Phase 2 looked outward more to…

It was the first year in recent history the stadium was completely sold out and even the cold weather didn’t hold back the true ACC Fans. The weekend comprised of concerts and FanFest on Friday and the Championship game on Saturday. The whole city was adorned from head to toe and here are some of the posters and outdoor signage that went…

Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer has meant a lot to Quail Hollow Club over the years. He helped bring 3 different tournaments to Quail Hollow and helped design the course in the beginning. His direction helped build the course into what it is today. This is an ad that we produced at LGA in behalf of Quail Hollow Club to say Thank you. It ran in Arnold Palmer’s magazine “Kingdom.” Gold Addy winner Silver Addy: District 3 Regionals   Here was an alternate that showed the course in the late 70s at the…
